MeshTools

Settings and Themes

Configure viewport behavior, import defaults, performance, and appearance.

The Settings window is split into four sections.

Viewport Config

These options change how the camera feels:

  • Invert Y movement
  • Invert zoom
  • Pan modifier
  • Default up axis

Default up axis applies to newly imported meshes. A loaded project can still override its own up axis later.

Graphics Quality

Graphics quality controls how the viewport is rendered:

  • Render resolution percent changes the internal render target scale.
  • Debug performance adds frame task timing breakdowns to the Stats tab.

If the viewport feels expensive on a large mesh, lowering render resolution is the first setting to try.

File Import

The import section documents axis conventions and reminds you that different tools and formats may disagree about whether Y or Z is up.

Use it to choose the default orientation that should be applied to freshly imported meshes.

Appearance

Appearance controls editor theme selection.

  • Search themes by scheme, author, or ID.
  • Click a theme to preview it immediately.
  • Save makes the preview the persistent saved theme.
  • Revert returns to the last saved theme.
  • Random picks a random preview theme.

Theme changes are app appearance settings. They are not stored inside .mt project files.
